Better connections with Picasa Web Albums

Posted by Mark Geller, Product Manager A few months back, we made it easy for almost anyone to partner with Picasa Web Albums by launching a free and open API that allows other services to connect to ours. For Picasa Web Albums users, this means you can now 'automagically' download photos from Picasa Web Albums to partner sites, where you can do things like create animations, make hardcover books, or send photos to and from your mobile phone. For partners, you can use the API to make it easier and faster for your users to import pictures to your service, which translates to users having more fun and getting more from your service. Here are five companies that are using our public API to connect with Picasa Web Albums -- you can remotely access your photo collection while using their services: Animoto.com : Create ice-cool animations from your snapshots. Sea Bass

Today's picture shows Edward Llewellen after a successful day of fishing. The Sea Bass he caught weighed in at 425 pounds. The picture was taken in 1903, and the fish was caught off Catalina Island. Many thanks to the Evil Nate Maas for sending in the picture.
